It looks as if the artist Kumi Yamashita has used a sheet or thin blanket and the only colors are black and white.
The elements that stand out are that of the sheet and the folds that you can see. The lighting also is a big element in this due to the lights that we see and then the light that seems to be coming through a window.
The elements don't relate in the slightest but rather contrast each other.
This work does has a bit of movement to it from the sheet and the way it looks as if its waves.
The feelings i get when i look at this are that of someone who has just come home and are tired and just want to lay in bed. My thoughts on this though are of peace and relaxation in a state of mind that you're i your own world
I think that this piece is trying to say that she's tired and just would like to relax in peace.
I like this piece because it speaks to how i feel when i just want to rest and relax.
What makes this artist piece effective is that it's not normally what people see sheets being used for and it draws your eyes to it.
